EBNC – “THE LARSEN EFFECT”: This is where it all started for EBNC. If not for Danish electroacoustic physicist Søren Absalon Larsen’s discovery, it may not have been possible – at least it would have sounded a lot different. This is a 20-minute “chance composition” made from several recordings of no-input mixer output processed through random DSP effects at random intervals. This was originally released in 2005.

TRON 1.5: RISE OF THE VIRALS (ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK)

The soundtrack to a movie that never existed, except in the mind of World Famous Audio Hacker. He just sent out an e-mail and a bunch of us helped him out. It was a fun culture jamming experiment that had some epic material on it. This isn’t an Epicaricacy release by any means (this album could not be Creative Commons-licensed in a million years), but it needed a home for a little while and we were more than happy to host a mirror site on Epicaricacy’s server. There is a track by EBNC on it that has the catchiest name for a pop track ever (“T128.Flynn.FK@yf”). Also featuring classics by Tiger Mendoza, Solcofn, Lilith the Kitten, Team 9, Celebrity Murder Party, and the sickest remix of Journey’s “Any Way You Want It” I’ve ever heard, courtesy of Rhythm Scholar.
